My apologies for the lack of order in these messages, however, I wanted to point out that there are programs for those who do self describe as pedophiles, yet do not want to hurt anyone, and these people need our help, not our hate.

What is now commonly understood is that pedophilia cannot be cured. I, Pedophile asks why, if we want to protect children, aren’t we doing more to help pedophiles before they commit crimes.

2013, Dunkelfeld ran an ad campaign featuring pedophiles coming to terms with themselves and making a pledge: ”In therapy, I learned that no one is to blame for their sexual preference, but everyone is responsible for their own behaviour. I don’t want to be an offender,”

James Cantor, a senior scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, says in I, Pedophile. conducted revolutionary research that found a dramatic cross-wiring in the connective tissue (or ”white matter”) of pedophiles’ brains, in an area related to stimuli and sexual response. That discovery suggested that pedophilia is something people are born with. We can’t seem to be able to change this, we can only help them learn to live with it.

It’s a documentary regarding two programs, which were run one in Germany, and one in northern Ontario, where they took gentleman who had thoughts of children yet never acted on them. The program were about helping, these gentlemen, not act on the thoughts, going through their heads, and not becoming harmful to society. Greetings, I just found this podcast today and stumbled upon this one episode and found it very intriguing. Thank you for putting together such a detailed episode of the topic in general and the specific crime. New paragraph one thing I wanted to mention is that it was stated in the show there is no help. I would like you to search for a documentary created by and shown on CBC called “I, Pedophile”.
